Remedial sessions are primarily used to support students who are falling behind in their classes. They help clarify subjects and catch students up with their class. They can also be used to get ahead. Homework sessions are typically used for assistance with homework, projects, essays and more.

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms" "Terms, of Service") carefully before pressing submit.
Attendance & Punctuality policy
Our Attendance and punctuality policy outlines our expectations from our clients as it relates to their scheduled session times. By signing below, you agree to ensure your child is on time for the event you are signing up for today and understand that in the event your child is tardy, you will not be reimbursed (in any way) for missed time.
Three (3)-Strike Behavior Policy
If a student reaches the maximum amount of 3 behavior strikes, The Mishandled Genius reserves the right to immediately remove that child from all services, as well as forfeit all future session times. Any prepaid balance that exists on behalf of the child’s scheduled sessions will not be reimbursed.
*The following behaviors will not be tolerated during sessions and will qualify for one (1) strike:
Behaviors Not Tolerated
Insubordination, disrespect, or defiance of authority;
Accusations involving falsehood or malicious intent;
Failure to comply with tutoring rules or directions;
Disorderly conduct;
Using disrespectful or inappropriate language or gestures;
Discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion,
culture, language group, sexual orientation, disability, age, or grade level; Cheating, plagiarism, forging notes, signatures or excuses;
Persistent or repetitive disruptive behavior or chronic minor offenses;
Shoving, pushing, or minor physical altercations and;
Any other behavior, that in the opinion of staff would reasonably be considered a
behavior not tolerated.
These behaviors may not significantly interfere with the operation of school but do represent a challenge to the positive learning and working environment. These behaviors may escalate into serious misconduct, reflecting the need to address these behaviors consistently and immediately. This means an intervention and is consistently applied when these behaviors occur.
*The following behaviors surpass the 3-strike behavior system and will result in an immediate removal of services if carried out by one (1) student.
Serious Misconduct
Bullying, hazing, or and form of intimidation;
The Mishandled Genius

Cyber-bullying- including but not limited to, posting inappropriate material online, sending harassing, deliberate or repeated emails and posting items without online permission of those involved;
Possession, use of weapons- a weapon can be any object used, or intended to be used, to cause injury or death, or to threaten or intimidate a person.
Discipline decisions will take into account the inherit or perceived danger of the object
involved;
Possession, use or selling of illegal or dangerous substances or objects- examples include
use of illegal drugs, tobacco and alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession
of explosives;
Possession of or sharing pornographic materials (including electronic images);
Physical violence- the use of force or inciting others to use force to cause physical injury;
Sexual assault, harassment, abuse and misconduct;
Dissemination of hate propaganda material, including hate literature;
Harassment- causing a person to fear for their safety or the safety of a person known to
them by repeatedly following them from place to place or repeatedly communicating directly or indirectly (e.g., by leaving notes, making or sending persistent or harassing telephone calls or emails, etc.)
Uttering threats-communicating the intent to hurt or damage a person an animal, place or thing;
Disruption to school operations -any behavior which threatens the health or safety of any person, including school personnel;
Any other behavior in the opinion of the homeschool teacher that would reasonably be considered serious misconduct;
These behaviors represent a significant disruption to the learning and working environment, endanger others or significantly impair the operation of learning and the maintenance of a positive learning and working environment. These behaviors will result in an immediate removal from The Mishandled Genius’ services.
Refund Policy
This event is non-refundable.

The Mishandled Genius exists to support students in learning, so they may reach their greatest potential in the classroom. We understand that the overall academic success of each child is a team effort. Which includes but is not limited to, our staff, the child, their teachers and parents/legal guardians. By signing below, you understand that our impact is only as great as our ability to work as a team.
Release Liability
“I agree to hold The Mishandled Genius harmless from any and all claims, loss or damage to my personal property, liabilities and costs, including attorney’s fees, as a result of my participation in this Activity, including travel to and from the Activity (including air travel) or any events incidental to this Activity.
